Dubai And UAE Teachers' Resources
Dubai and UAE teacher resources are regularly updated to reflect the theatrical shows we bring to the UAE. We work closely with schools and teachers in Dubai and the UAE to provide additional resources and activities for our theatrical productions.
Getting children involved in the magical characters created by Roald Dahl can be done in a number of creative ways. Our activities include colouring pages, lesson plans, quizzes and trivia about the authors and the theatrical productions themselves. All our content is designed to help teachers make their classroom trip to the theatre not only more fun – but more educational. If a child engages with a story or theatrical show, they are more likely to seek out and enjoy similar literary experiences later on. The children’s theatre we bring to the UAE always has a strong literary link because education through the arts is one of our favourite causes. We make sure teachers have a good range of materials to support their classroom activities prior to booking a trip to see one of our shows at the theatre. George’s Marvellous Medicine is one of our favourite Roald Dahl shows. We’ve brought it out to the UAE four times now – and every trip has been a massive success with school groups and families alike. We hope you enjoy our Teachers’ Resources pack.
Fantastic Mr Fox Teacher Packs
We strongly believe that preparation is everything before you embark on a trip to the theatre. That’s why we’ve included this Teachers’ Resources pack for Fantastic Mr Fox Live in this section. Making sure the children are familiar with the story and what live theatre can bring them enhances their enjoyment of the shows they see. That’s why it’s important to introduce the concept of what a theatrical experience is prior to the show. Theatre is storytelling at its most vibrant. It’s exciting, immediate and all our theatrical productions contain plenty of audience participation in the adventures unfolding on stage. Reading the book that has been adapted for the show, explaining the concept of musical theatre and live performance and how it can enhance their understanding of the story ensures the show really lives for them.
