The Best Of Barmy Britain Part Two comes to Dubai and Abu Dhabi: Confession time. We were never top of the class during history lessons at school. All those dusty old books and random dates never really peaked our interest, which is why we are super excited to be welcoming back the talented Horrible Histories team, with their latest show, The Best of Barmy Britain.
Encapsulating three of bestselling author Terry Deary’s popular books, Rotten Romans, Terrible Tudors and Vile Victorians, the show, which is a Birmingham Stage Company production, gallops through the past 1000 years, giving kids an entertaining insight into British history. We’re talking, Boudicca, Burke and Hare and the Battle of the Somme to name but a few.
This will be the sixth visit to the UAE for the Horrible Histories team and we’re on tenterhooks about the hilarious gags director and writer Neal Foster will have for us this time. A few of the highlights from previous shows include a breakdancing Queen Victoria, a sing-along about the Black Death and more fart jokes that you can shake a stick at.
