The Tiger Who Came To Tea comes to Dubai
Judith Kerr’s classic and much-loved children’s tale of a tiger who literally comes to tea, has been adapted for the West End stage by acclaimed playwright David Wood O.B.E. Now, for the second time, this magical production will be exciting audiences across the UAE as the show visits Abu Dhabi and Dubai as part of the company’s world tour.
There are so many wonderful things that we love about this magical production. It’s faithful narrative to the original text means that nay child who has heard the story and lived it at bedtime, will be utterly delighted to re-live it at the theatre. Visually, it’s stunning too, with costumes perfectly echoing that of the original illustrations in the bestselling book. This carries right through to the sets, which enable the tiger hero to eat: “all the food in the cupboards, all the food in the fridge,” and even to drink “all the water in the taps.”
Art For all is dedicated to bringing the very best in children’s theatre to the UAE, not only to entertain, but to help youngsters develop an appreciation for the wonderful media of theatre. We especially enjoy bringing literary adaptations to our audiences, so that parents can take a little of that stage magic home with them by re-reading the original stories to their children at bedtime too.
The Tiger Who Cam To Tea is coming to Abu Dhabi on April 26th, and will be at Ductac from April 29th to May 1st. Book now to avoid disappointment.
